City Of Caterpillar were a band from Richmond, Virginia that broke up in 2003. Sharing
members with Pg.99, Malady, Darkest Hour, they had a different, original way of
playing screamo quite distant from those sharp riffs or metallic influence
of the other projects. Their songs are heavily influenced by post-rock,
long structure with long instrumental parts and slow bild-ups leading to
exploding breaks, rising as the voice keep screaming. I think that
City of Caterpillar had the skill of taking part of screamo, post-rock,
post-hardcore and making the best out of this.
By now this lp is out of print
